This Act sets out detailed provisions regarding procedures needed to be carried out by the UK Government as a precursor to agreeing to any amendments/decisions about specified treaties relating to the European Union. The Act also clarifies the status of EU law in relation to UK domestic law.

Police (Detention and Bail) Act 2011 (received Royal Assent 12 July 2011)

This Act makes amendments to Part 4 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1986 (PACE) in relation to the calculation of the 96 hour maximum time limit for which a person may be detained before being charged or released. PACE can be found in the current edition of the statute book.
