Part 5. Other Genes to Explore

The "Find" box at the top of the home page provides many other ways to search Wormbase quickly if specific information is needed or if the information is not organized by gene name. For example, author searches and RNAi phenotypes can both be searched from this box can both be searched using the dropdown menu associated with this box.

Here are a few other genes that can be searched in the same way that you searched daf-7, with a few comments on what to note.

unc-54. This is one the most thoroughly studied genes in worms. One notable feature that was not seen with daf-7 is presence of splicing variants. It is worth examining the EST patterns and the cDNAs to see how the structure of the gene and its splice variants were deduced.

C17A2.4. This gene has not been associated with a mutant phenotype and there is far less information on it than for daf-7. It does have a predicted function, however.
