The Police Federation represents the interests of all police officers below the rank of superintendent. Its website is a useful learning resource, providing insights into the collective concerns of the lower ranks of the police service towards strategic and operational policing developments.

The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) is a strategic body whose members are at least of the rank of Assistant Chief Constable. Its website outlines the views of ACPO towards thematic policy areas.
