Oxford's free pronunciation CD-ROMs use technology developed by Nuance, the leading supplier of speech simulation software. Nuance's RealSpeak Text-to-Speech engine is able to read, understand, and convert text into the most human-sounding voice.

The software is very easy to use. Once installed, you simply cut and paste words, sentences, even paragraphs from any source, then click to hear them spoken back to you.
