Verb tables

Instructions:

Verbs are listed in two ways in the dictionary: either as headwords (as entries within the main A-Z text) or in the verb tables at the back of the dictionary.

Look up the verbs in the following sentences (italisized).

If they are not listed as headwords within the A-Z text, try looking through the verb tables at the back of the dictionary to find the correct infinitive.

 
Question 1a

Tu hermanito ha roto tu juguete favorito.

The infinitive of roto is:

a) romper
b) rotar
c) rozar
 
Question 1b
The sentence means:
a) Your little brother has rotated your favourite toy.
b) Your little brother has scraped your favourite toy.
c) Your little brother has broken your favourite toy.
 
Question 2a

Pablo se sintió mal después de comer la pizza.

The infinitive of sintió is:

a) sentar
b) sentir
c) senter
 
Question 2b
The sentence means:
a) Pablo felt ill after eating the pizza.
b) Pablo sat down after eating the pizza.

Se ruega a los visitantes guardar silencio.
