The Author

Peter Barrie was born on 12 March 1953. He studied jurisprudence at New College, Oxford. After pupillage at 4 Pump Court, Temple and at Guildhall Chambers, he joined Guildhall Chambers, Bristol in 1978.

The Guildhall Chambers Personal Injury Team offers a full range of advisory and advocacy services across the South West, the South Midlands, and South Wales. Peter Barrie is a senior member of the team and is a specialist in personal injury and clinical negligence claims, acting for both claimants and defendants and regularly instructed by trade unions and insurers. He is listed for expertise in personal injury in the Chambers Guide and in Legal 500. He is also a Recorder sitting in both criminal and civil cases on the Western Circuit.

Peter Barrie is married with four children and lives near Bristol.
