Printable help texts and guides

Context-sensitive help help is available via the link at the top right of every page of the site.

Four help texts are also available to download and print:

• an eye-catching double-sided introductory search guide (600KB, PDF format).

• a three-page guide to getting started with the Oxford DNB (200KB, PDF format)

• an editable version of the three-page getting started guide (130KB, Microsoft Word 97-2003 format). Librarians who wish to produce a short guide to accessing the Oxford DNB within their own library are welcome to use this as a starting point.

• the complete guide to using the online edition (1MB, PDF format).

To print these files, you will need Adobe Reader, which may be downloaded for free from Adobe.
