Let's Get Boys Reading Roadshows

Full literacy days introducing a new generation programme especially developed to appeal to boys and help raise literacy standards to all your pupils

15th September - The Springfield Centre, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Keynote speaker is Gary Wilson, independent consultant and author of Breaking Through the Barriers to Boys’ Achievement.

17th September - Theobalds Park Hotel,Hertfordshire

Oxford Literacy Day - Training on "Talking for Writing" from Pie Corbett

This one day event is packed full of support, guidance and expert advice on how to raise standards in your pupils’ writing.

There are 2 events being hosted by Oxford Primary:

24 June 2009 - at the Royal Chace Hotel, Enfield, EN2 8AR

23 June 2009 - at the Aztec Hotel, Almondsbury, Bristol, BS32 4TS

9.30 - 10.30 Using shared writing to ‘craft the language’ - poetry by Pie Corbett
10.30 - 10.50 Coffee
10.50 - 12.00 Storytelling for writing - learning how to tell simple and more demanding stories by Pie Corbett
12.00 New product demonstration
12.30 Lunch and Exhibition
2.00 From the telling into the writing - using shared writing to innovate on and develop a story by Pie Corbett
3.15 Depart with Goody bags including handouts from the day
