Read Write Inc. Fresh Start offers older primary and lower secondary children who have not made progress in their English reading, a second chance to catch up and become confident, fluent second language readers.
How does Read Write Inc. Fresh Start work?
Speed Sounds introduces all 44 sounds in a dynamic and fast-paced way
Once they have learnt a few sounds, pupils quickly start to blend them into words and progress to the Fresh Start Modules
Fresh Start Modules contain, carefully levelled and age-appropriate stories and
non-fiction texts, which pupils can read confidently using their phonics knowledge
Comprehension questions throughout check they understand
what they read
Writing activities linked to texts that build your pupils’
writing skills step-by-step, from words to simple

How does Read Write Inc. Spelling work?
Get Spelling book features a variery of teacher led, pair work and independent activities
A Spelling Log Book allows children to 'log' the words they find hard to spell which can be used for weekly reviews and ensure children don't learn and forget their spelling words.
Spelling Handbook provides teachers support including blueprint lesson plans and a range of strategies for teachng high frequency words
