Maths Investigator (MI)
|
A flexible problem-solving approach to inspire and motivate children from age 7 to 11.
Can be used as a complete maths programme or as modules to dip into alongside other resources. Based around the concept of a spy agency, children will need all their maths and reasoning skills to solve maths problems (cases). |
How does Maths Investigator work in the bilingual classroom?
- Interactive CD is at the heart of MI, and embeds ICT seamlessly into your lessons. Messages from M are delivered in English, via animated virtual video link-ups to motivate pupils.
- Pupils Casebooks use photographic visual clues to bring maths to life. Pupils interpret the information from messages on the Interactive CD alongside the Casebook clues and apply their maths skills to solve each case.
- My Logbook contains stimulating practice and investigational activities so pupils build up a personalised record of progress.
- Teachers Guides contains clear and flexible lesson plans to help deliver a fun class
