• Q, When I try to print out a '.pdf' file, it doesn't print out what is on the screen.

In order to print out a '.pdf' file, you must use the 'Printer' icon along the upper task bar. If you go to 'File' and then 'Print', then it will not work correctly.

• Q, I cannot get access to the website. Where can I find the username and password?

The username and password for the website elements of the CD-ROM can be found underneath the globes on the opening page of the CD. There is a link to the website in the bottom right hand corner. When asked for the username and password, use the mouse to 'roll over' the globes. This will reveal the username and password needed to access the site.

• Q, When I open a '.pdf' file I see rows of squares rather than words.

This is what happens when running the CD on Windows XP, with Adobe Acrobat Reader version 6. The Geog. CDs are not designed for use on Windows XP. However, you may still be able to gain access to the '.pdf' files on the CD by using Windows Explorer.
