RoadshowsOxford University Press is hosting a series of events for teachers and literacy consultants to provide practical advice and hints and tips on how to get your boys reading and writing. These events will include presentations from guest speakers including Maureen Lewis and Gary Wilson - experts in this field. The full day will include focussed seminars and discussion forums as well as lunch and refreshments.

Maureen Lewis - former teacher and currently researcher, lecturer and writer. She began her teaching and advisory career in London and she has taught children from age 5 –13 years. She has produced classroom materials for several educational publishers including innovative ICT resources and is now series editor for Oxford University Press’ exciting new reading programme – Project X. She works as an independent consultant and is an honorary research fellow at the University of Exeter. |

Tony Bradman – experienced writer and editor of stories for children of all ages. He has produced more than 200 books for children of all ages, including fiction, poetry and picture books, and has also edited many anthologies of both poetry and short stories. Among his most successful books are Dilly the Dinosaur and Dilly and the Goody Goody. |
| Gary Wilson - independent consultant and author of Breaking through the Barriers to Boys' Achievement . Widely regarded as one of the country's leading authorities on boys' achievement. |

Event details |
Each event offers a full day’s INSET with seminars and presentations from our guest speakers for £70 + VAT per delegate and includes refreshments, a 2 course lunch and a goodie bag. |
