Jacqueline Wilson

Jacqueline Wilson trained as a journalist on leaving school, and then started writing freelance after she married and had children. She is now one of the best-selling children's writers in the UK. Her books have sold over 2 million copies. She has won the Smarties Prize, the Children's Book Award, and has been shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal.

Jacqueline's interests are reading books, visiting the smaller and shabbier stately homes, going to the theatre and art galleries and, most of all, browsing around bookshops.

Oxford University Press is proud to publish Jacqueline Wilson's book How to Survive Summer Camp, and in 2010 will be celebrating its 25th year in print.

Jacqueline lives in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey. She has one daughter, Emma.
