Julie Sykes
Julie Sykes was born in Kingston upon Thames but then moved to Australia with her family. They returned when Julie was five and she was educated in Surrey, studying at Kingston University for a BSc followed by a PGCE. Julie taught in schools for seven years before leaving to become a full-time author and Mum.
Julie lives in Hampshire with her husband, three children and a large hairy dog. They once lived on a fish farm and shared their home with 300,000 rainbow trout. They now have a 200 year-old cottage and they share that with woodworm!
