Martin Conway
When he’s not writing stories for children, Martin Conway works as a freelance teacher, story-teller, and actor. He has also written television comedy and radio drama. Martin thinks nothing of dressing up in a range of costumes and already has a splendid Viking helmet and bridal dress which he dons to enact scenes from the book!
He started writing poems at 16 because of a family tradition of writing verse for birthdays and special occasions. He loved the challenge of writing formal verse, and later on became a performance poet. Martin is not a great sailor but one day he’d like to join the crew of a replica Viking ship to follow the old Viking route from Scandinavia to the Shetland Islands and beyond.
