ELT courses have been the mainstay of the OUP china business since its inception. In 1982 we decided to broaden our publishing with new programmes both of educational books in Chinese and academic and general books of a regional interest in English. Publishing approximately 750 titles a year, roughly one third of the revenue comes from ELT publishing, another third from Chinese language teaching publishing, and 30 per cent from other school books publishing, with the balance coming from academic books.
