OUP ANZ began life as a sales office and published its first title in 1912. The first schoolbook, A Short History of Australia, was published in 1916 but it was not until after the Second World War that publishing in Australia began to boom. The Branch publishes approximately 150 titles per year for the college, school, and trade markets.
